We are in business to help you find a solution for your scrap metal needs.

  • Westex offers an array of hauling services to industrial accounts. We have 3 bobtail, roll-off trucks that are capable of handling bulk materials or individual items. Let us know how we can help. We will be glad to come and see what you have, and set out a plan for your approval, in our effort to serve you.

  • Service to your facility can be provided on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or special project basis.

  • We work diligently to make our prices competitive

  • We can provide, in most cases, same day/next day service, exchanging containers for your convenience

  • We can provide demolition services on some projects if there is metal product involved. Allow us the opportunity, and we will give you information on what is possible.

Justice Scale

WHAT THE LAW REQUIRES

LAW Requires:

Beginning September 1, 2015 – Regarding Receiving CASH Payments

  • New state laws go into effect for those who want to be paid in cash. To receive cash payments, you must present a state ID/DL to fill out a form and have a scrap I.D. made. The first payment you receive must be by check mailed to your address with the cash I.D. card. For future sales, to receive cash, you must bring the card and state ID/DL when selling material.

LAW Requires:

  • A valid STATE issued ID or military ID

  • Scrap card

  • Authorization by the railroad on letterhead to sell railroad material

  • Tech AC/HVAC license issued by the state to sell A/C units/parts, with the exception of window units

  • No burned wire (EPA violation if we buy) without a letter from the fire dept to prove the wire was burned in a fire

  • Customers selling nonferrous material must have vehicle to allow them to sell merchandise

  • Letter of authorization from your company if selling for a company, if you are selling communication wire



What We Cannot Accept

WHAT WE CANNOT ACCEPT

Cannot Accept:

  • We can not accept items with the compressor still attached. We can take the compressor as long as it is unattached and drained of all fluids.

  • Refrigeration units with Freon still contained in the unit. (Air conditioners, refrigerators, window units, etc.)

  • Cooling coils from central air units from individuals without an invoice from repair company who repaired or installed equipment.

  • Any lubricants, liquids, or other non-metallic substances contained in metal scrap (Engine oil, hydraulic fluids, coolants, grease, gasoline, diesel fuel, etc.)

  • PCB laden transformers, capacitors, light ballasts, or other PCB contaminated materials

  • Sealed cylinders or tanks, shock absorbers, gas shocks, or any parts that hold gas or pressure.

  • Containers must be empty; free of chemical, paint, lubricant, or other non ferrous residue.

  • Radioactive materials

  • Any hazardous waste as defined by Federal, State, or Local authorities

  • Garbage, trash, excessive dirt, concrete and other non-recyclables
